Hey Reader, 1. Tuck your elbows in. Pro coach Martina Kochli says the #1 volley mistake is extending your paddle too far from your body. Keep your elbows tucked and let the ball come to you. Your timing, control, and confidence at the kitchen line will improve almost immediately. 2. Drill your serve -> even solo. Dustin Davis puts it simply: an hour of focused drilling is worth roughly five hours of casual play. And you don't need a partner to work on your serve. Grab your paddle and a few balls, and start there. It sets up everything else in your game. 3. Record yourself. AI coach Arcot Naresh's top tip: film yourself on the court. What you think you're doing and what you're actually doing are often two different things. Even a phone propped on a bench can reveal fixes you'd never catch otherwise. Your challenge this week: Pick just ONE of these three tips. Go out and drill it for 15 minutes today. Not next week -> today. Research shows if you take action within 72 hours of learning something new, you're far more likely to actually stick with it. One more thing: the full session recordings from World Pickleball Summit 2 (including strategy, mental game, rules, footwear, AI training tools, and more) will be available again soon. If you missed a session (or want to rewatch one), keep an eye on your inbox for access. P.S. Got a tip that's helped your game the most? Hit reply and let me know. I read every response. |
